ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Engineering at Government Polytechnic Curchorem was established in the year 2006. The department offers a Diploma in Computer Engineering programme.

Diploma in Computer Engineering is a three-year programme comprising of six semesters with an intake of 40 students. The programme prepares the students to be proficient in hardware, software and integration of systems to become total solution providers. The programme also equips the students with emerging skills such as Mobile and Web Applications Development, Internet of Things (IoT), System & Network integrations etc. Early hands-on industry experience through 8-week industrial training is also provided for student during their course of study.

The department organizes industry visits and expert sessions on latest technologies to expose the students to the rapid change in the field of computer engineering.

The department has well equipped laboratories to satisfy the needs of various subjects. The faculty members of the department are dedicated and experienced to carry out the related teaching.
