INTRODUCTION

India has many hardcore industries already set up and are expanding at a fast rate to match with the Global market, Therefore there is growing demand of trained Electrical as well as Electronics Engineers. After successful completion of Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a candidate can seek jobs in industries dealing with either Electrical or Electronics field as well as junior engineer in Govt. electricity department. Also interested students can set up their own business in Electrical or Electronics field.

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate should have passed Secondary School Certificate Examination (Std X) or any other equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate in one and the same sitting.

COURSE DURATION

The duration of the course is three years (Six Semesters).

INTAKE CAPACITY

The maximum intake capacity is 40 seats.

COURSE CONTENT

The course we offer is an all encompassing course in the field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and is designed in such a manner that it focuses equally in Electrical & Electronic fields. The subject offered gives equal weight age to practical as well as theoretical knowledge. Subjects such as Transformers, Electrical Drives, Power Generation Transmission & Distribution, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Power Electronics & Drive Control whose knowledge is considered worth in industries are part of the curriculum.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Prospectus for Higher Education / career Advancement

On completion of 3 year Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering:

1. A student qualifying in first division is eligible for admission to second year of degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / IT / Computer Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering) in engineering colleges within Goa.

2. A Student is eligible for admission to second year of degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering /IT / Computer Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering) in other states as per prevailing rules of the respective state.

3. In case of candidate passing with Second class, he / she could get his / her degree in Engineering, through AMIE (Associate Membership In Institute of Engineers) which can be pursued as an evening/part time basis.

4. There is avenue for higher studies abroad.
