ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

This department was started from the inception of this Polytechnic in the year July 1996. The department was started in CAMMANDING AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT AREA work sheds with intake capacity of 20 students. Fourteen batches of Diploma in Mechanical engineering have passed out and these students are doing very well in their field of work. Many students have risen to the higher Managerial levels in big organizations based on their skills & expertise. Feedback given by industries about our students is very positive.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Course is of 3 year duration, each year spanning two semesters with examination conducted at the end of the term. Presently approved intake capacity by AICTE is 60 for this course. However we admit 40 students for imparting quality education to students. Also 4 seats are extended for direct 2nd year entry by Vocational & ITI pass outs based on merit.
