Training & placement cell provides opportunity for the students to get the ground feel about industry and understand the systems and procedures involved in running an organization.
In order to have better understanding of management, a number of industry visits are organized for students in consultation with the concerned faculty. The industry visits provide the special exposure to the students about the various intricacies of the Industry / corporate world.
The Training & Placement Cell of Government Polytechnic Curchorem is an important segment of the Institute which looks into imparting the technical exposure to the students of all branches, during and after their course in various organizations, inside and outside the state.
It maintains the records of all the students of all branches in a prescribed format. Final year students who are in the final semester are required to submit their Bio-Data with the Training & Placement Cell. The Cell also keeps in contact with the pass-outs who go outside the state either for pursuing Higher Studies or for employment. This is to keep a track of all the pass-outs in the interest of the Institute. For this, the pass-out students must inform the concerned Training & Placement coordinator.
The Training and Placement Cell works for the whole year interacting with Human Resource Departments of the various esteemed organizations so as to invite them to our college for recruiting the future of the company. The interviewing teams that visit us for campus recruitment have consistently rated our students very highly.
The Training & Placement Cell communicates and places students in esteemed organizations and companies such as BOSCH INDIA,TURBOCAM, CIPLA, APRANT IRON & STEEL PLANT, MRF, TATA MOTORS, ZENITH INDIA LTD, DIGI-LINK, TECHFORCE, MARICO, SIEMENS, TAJ HOTELS, TATA AUTO COMP, ACC, GODREJ, GOA CARBON, UNITRED BREWARIES, ESSEL PROPACK, FINOLEX INDUSTRIES, ACGL, MARCOPLO, ZUARI INDUSTRIES, MADOVI PALLETS, TATA ELXI, SASKEN, HCL, etc. and arranges interaction sessions for the representatives of the companies with the students. This is a way to motivate, inspire and enlighten the spirits of the students.
The Placement Office uses Desktop computers and Institute GBBN facility for Placement Data handling and communication. The Institute is equipped with a Seminar Hall for holding Pre-Placement Talks, Written Test, Group Discussions, etc.
The Training & Placement Cell is working under the guidance of Shri. Prasad Surendra Naik, the Training and Placement Officer of the college and fulfilling the Mission & Vision of the Institution. The Training and Placement Cell is assisted by the association of all the Engineering and Non-Engineering Departments. We believe that our students are like ‘uncut diamonds’ that need to be guide in the right direction to acquire their luster.
