Facilities & Infrastructure

The Department is well equipped for teaching, and is continually upgrading its computer laboratories to ensure all equipment is up-to-date, and has the newest hardware available.

Currently there are two Computer laboratories within the department:

Computer Lab I containing 25 Machines, running windows XP on 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 2GB DDR2 RAMs, 100/1000Mbps network cards, 17" TFT Monitors and 1 network printer.

Computer Lab II containing 20 Machines, running Windows XP on 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processors,2GB DDR2 RAMs ,100/1000 Mbps network cards, 17" TFT Monitors and 1 network printer.

All the computers in the laboratory are have internet access.
In addition, students have access to specialised equipment such as scanners, DVD-writers, tape drive etc. Students also have access for project work.

The laboratories contain a wide range of software including, programming languages  C, C#, Java, C++, etc, Microsoft Office packages. Microsoft Visual Studio ; World Wide Web authoring tools; and databases.  

Network Infrastructure & Server Room

The Department has a dedicated server room, containing 2 Servers. This has a gigabit network with each machine connected individually to our network switches with either 100Mbit or 1Gbit network cards. All computers have access to the internet via GBBN and Broadband connectivity.

The Computer Engineering Department was established in this Institution in 2006. This Department conducts a 3 year Diploma Course in Computer Engineering, each year spanning two Semesters, with end examinations conducted.

The sanctioned intake capacity is 40 students. In addition, 1 student from vocational stream of Higher Secondary and 1 student from ITI is admitted each year.
